Seek Chat exists to help adults build genuine friendships and local connections. These guidelines explain what that means in practice.

What Seek Chat is
Seek Chat is a contacts and networking platform for adults 18+ to meet local people who share their interests and build genuine friendships, social circles and community connections.
What Seek Chat is not
Seek Chat is not a dating or sex contacts service. Profiles, messages, photos and interest groups must not be used to seek romantic or sexual encounters. Content of this nature will be removed and repeat or serious breaches will result in account suspension.
Age requirement
You must be 18 or older to create a Seek Chat profile. Age is confirmed at sign-up and accounts found to misrepresent age are removed.
Be respectful
- Treat other members the way you'd want to be treated — no harassment, hate speech, or abusive language.
- Respect a "no" or a lack of response. Don't repeatedly message someone who hasn't replied.
- No spam, promotions, or commercial solicitation in profiles or messages.
- Use real, recent photos of yourself. Impersonation and fake profiles are not allowed.
Reporting & blocking
You can block or report any member directly from their profile or a conversation. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, and accounts that break these guidelines may be warned, restricted, or removed.
Staying safe when you meet up
- Get to know someone through the platform before arranging to meet.
- Choose a public place for a first meet-up, and let a friend or family member know your plans.
- Arrange your own transport, and trust your instincts — you can end a meet-up at any time.
- Never send money or financial details to someone you've met on Seek Chat.
